PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive automatically closing gas cock having a heat-sensitive means capable of securely locking a rotary drum against a coil spring when a gas cock is fully opened. SOLUTION: In this heat-sensitive automatically closing gas cock, an engagement slant hole 17 is formed in part of an outer circumferential surface of the rotary drum 12. An embedded slant hole 18 is formed on the side of a gas cock main body 1 to face the rotary drum 12 when it is fully opened. In the embedded slant hole 18, a stopper pin 19 is embedded to be engaged with the engagement slant hole 17 at a tip to lock the rotary drum 12 from rotating in a closing direction by force of a coil spring 13. A solder block 20 is embedded on the rear end side of the stopper pin 19, and on the rear end side of the solder block 20, a set screw 21 is driven from the inlet side of the embedded slant hole 18 to press the solder block 20. When a fire takes place, the solder block 20 melts, the stopper pin 19 retreats to release lock to the rotary drum, and the gas cock is automatically closed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
