<p>An intermittent or simulated moving layer chromatographic separator capable of stably determining the purities of separated components, wherein a circulation passage (16) is formed by connecting four or more columns (14) to each other, material liquid containing components (A) and (C) and eluent are filled in the circulation passage (16) and circulated in the circulation passage (16), a density detector (54) is disposed in the circulation passage (16) at a position adjacent to a component (A) extracting valve (41) to detect the density of the components in the circulation passage (16) during a circulation process, and when the density of the components reaches a standard density or higher, the components (A) and (C) of the material liquid are determined to be separated from each other and a process moves from a circulation process to a next component extraction process.</p> |
