The clamp connection (1) for one or more insulated electric conductors (2) comprises two clamping shanks (5,6) with a gap (16) between them. Between shank free ends (7,8) is an opening (9) for conductor insertion, tapering in inserting direction (x).There is contacting and clamping section (15) for conductor core (3). Starting from gap narrow part, the gap widens up to clamping section in inserting direction of conductor. The outer edges (22,23) of shanks are parallel to edges (24,25) of gap, in parts of opening.
