The process for monitoring the glass flow in a glass molding machine (1) and/or in the periphery of the glass molding machine comprises passing glass portions on subsequent glass handling positions of the molding machine, producing an image of the glass handling position on several of the glass handling positions using an optical system (6-9) and connected image conductors (14-17), and guiding to distal ends (19-22) of the conductors. The distal ends of the conductors are arranged within a device for forming an arrangement image (23) which is fed to an image processing system (25). An Independent claim is also included for a glass molding machine for making a glass container (28).
