PURPOSE: A method for tracking a position in a mobile communication terminal using a GPS is provided to enable a mobile communication terminal to receive position information in real time, and to perceive a car position or a specific apparatus position parked in a parking lot, thereby enabling a real-time processing. CONSTITUTION: A user transmits self position information to a GPS satellite, and a GPS apparatus transmits self position information to the GPS satellite, then the GPS satellite stores the received information(S1-S3). A cellular phone inputs differences between information on the GPS apparatus and a target distance, and transmits the inputted information to a position server, then the position server stores the information and requests position information of the cellular phone and the position information of the GPS apparatus(S4,S5). A GPS DB transmits the stored position information to the position server, and the position server calculates differences between two points based on the received position information, transmits the position information of the cellular phone and the GPS apparatus to a base station if the differences are bigger than the differences between the GPS apparatus and the target distance, then transmits the position information if the differences are smaller(S6-S10). The base station transmits the received position information to the cellular phone, and the cellular phone displays the position information and completes an OTAPA(Over-The-Air Parameter Administration) session when the position information is received from the position server(S10-S13). |
