<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black compound which is used for inkjet recording and for writing utensils, gives a recorded image having a high density of print and excellent in ozone resistance, light resistance, water resistance and color rendering properties, and gives a recording fluid having good shelf stability, and an ink composition containing it. <P>SOLUTION: This trisazo compound is represented by formula (1) [wherein A is represented by general formula (2) or general formula (3)].
