<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball-point pen which is contrived so that a protective film for preventing an ink solvent from evaporating, formed at the apex of the tip is removed by a writing action. <P>SOLUTION: In the ball-point pen having a protective film 9 for preventing an ink solvent from evaporating, formed at the apex of the tip, the protective film 9 comes off the apex of the tip by the writing performance of the ball-point pen at a writing angle of 60°, a writing speed of 4.5 m/min., a writing load including the weight of a pen body of 100 gf and a writing distance of not more than 500 cm.
