<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frozen Tempura (deep batter fried food) enabling the same fresh feeling and taste of an ingredient material, and the same fragrant flavor and crispy feeling of the coating as the Tempura just after the frying to be reproduced even by cooking by thawing, and hardly causing change in the shape. <P>SOLUTION: The frozen Tempura having the coating with a multilayered structure has a primary coating formed so as to cover the surface of the ingredient material and preventing the reduction in the water content of the ingredient material, and a secondary coating formed so as to cover the primary coating and for keeping the crispy feeling peculiar to the Tempura.
