<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic anion transporter which is expressed in the kidney and participates in medicine excretion function of the kidney. <P>SOLUTION: A new organic anion transporter which is specifically expressed in the kidney and participates in the role of reabsorption and excretion of an anionic medicine from the kidney is isolated and its animal cell stable expression cell strain is constructed. Consequently, a medicine excretion path through the transporter is examined in vitro by using the cell strain and is applied to aptitude use of a medicine. A rat in which a rat oatp-M1 is specifically expressed is used and the reabsorption, excretion, etc., of a medicine through the transporter are examined in vivo. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
