<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively executable general serial data processing method to be easily customized by a user. <P>SOLUTION: This serial data processing method comprises the following procedures, that is, (1) the installation of a general database engine in a computer or an external storage device connected to the computer, (2) the connection of general input equipment to the serial interface of the computer, (3) the preliminary preparation of at least one database managed by the selected database engine, (4) the activation of the function of an operating system, and the preparation of an arbitrary external program, (5) the preliminary selection of an external program to be used for each database or the setting of the non-use of any external program, (6) the selection of the database to be used, (7) the reading of predetermined input information by input equipment, and (8) the execution of the external program based on the read input information when the external program is selected according to the setting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
