PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide screen printing equipment and a screen printing method, in which a favorable plate releasability can be ensured. SOLUTION: In screen printing by installing on a substrate 8 a mask plate 12 having pattern holes 12a formed therein and printing cream solder 17, at the start of a releasing action for separating the substrate 8 from the mask plate 12 after the cream solder 17 is filled in the pattern holes 12a by squeezing, the mask plate 12 is made to follow the descending action of the substrate 8 by depressing the mask plate 12 with a mask depressing mechanism 18. Thus, the difference between the releasing speed of the peripheral part and that of its central part of the substrate 8 is made smaller as much as possible, resulting in making the releasing conditions uniform over the whole printing domain surface of the substrate 8 and consequently enabling to ensure a favorable plate releasability.
