PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor of a rotary electric machine along with its manufacturing method wherein facility scale is reduced by eliminating waste of it. SOLUTION: A rotor 3 comprises a rotational shaft 33 where a plurality of axial grooves 130 are formed on the outer periphery, and a pole core 32 which is engaged with and fixed to the axial groove 130. A collar member 136 is capped over an circumferential groove 132 of the rotational shaft 33. The collar member 136 is plastically deformed so that the internal periphery of the collar member 136 is plastically deformed in the circumferential groove 132, to couple the rotational shaft 33 with the collar member 136.
