PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a display liquid hardly causing aggregation and deposition, and having favorable contrast and improved stability. SOLUTION: The display liquid for an electrophoretic display apparatus contains electrifying fine particles comprising a coloring agent and a resin, and a dispersion medium. The coloring agent contains titanium oxide having 0.01 to 0.06μm primary particle diameter measured by a laser diffraction/scattering method. The ratio of the minor diameter to the major diameter of the electrifying particles is (1 : 1.1) to (1 : 50). The average particle size of the electrifying particles measured by a laser diffraction/scattering method is specified to 0.1 to 3μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
