PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a drum unit and to suppress an increase in cost accompanying the exchange of a heating drum. SOLUTION: The heat developing apparatus is provided with a heating drum 11 which is freely rotatable in relation to the apparatus body and heats a heat developable material, a heater (not shown) which is disposed in the drum 11 and heats the drum 11, a temperature sensor (not shown) which is disposed in the drum 11 and senses the temperature of the drum 11, a controller (not shown) which performs input and output of signals among the drum 11, the heater and the temperature sensor and supply of power to these members, and a slip ring unit 30 which performs transmission of signals, power, etc., between the controller and the drum 11, the heater and the temperature sensor, wherein the controller is disposed in the apparatus main body and the slip ring unit 30 is integrated with the heating drum 11.
