PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifiber optical connector which facilitates insertion of an optical fiber therein, is excellent in operability and formed with high yield in its manufacturing even when formed into high density constitution. SOLUTION: An insertion hole 4 and a guide part 8 are provided in a ferrule 2 in which an optical fiber ribbon 91 is inserted, the optical fiber ribbon 91 being of tape-shape as a whole in which a plurality of optical fibers 9 are arranged in block and parallel with one another. The optical fiber 9 exposed from the optical fiber ribbon 91 is inserted in the insertion hole 4. The guide part 8 guides the optical fiber ribbon 91 so as to facilitate insertion of the optical fiber 9 in the insertion hole 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
