PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt transmission device capable of effectively suppressing a chord of a belt caused by looseness of the belt at a rear side of a belt traveling direction of a driving pulley for driving the belt. SOLUTION: In this belt driving device 1, pulleys mounted on various kinds of auxiliary machineries are arranged in order of an M/G pulley 4, a W/P pulley 5, a P/S pulley 6 and an A/C pulley 7 from a crank pulley 3 mounted on a crankshaft 3a in a traveling direction of a transmission belt 8. In the M/G pulley 4, contact area with the transmission belt 8 in the unit winding length is reduced by about 20% as compared with the other pulleys 3, 5, 6 and 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
