PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactly mount a heat pump apparatus without sharply increasing the dimension of a main body or without sharply changing the shape of the main body of a washing machine. SOLUTION: In the washing machine, a casing 1 is provided, with: an outer tub 3 rotatably fitting an inner tub 4 therein; a heat absorber 30 and a radiator 31 consisting of a heat exchanger constituting the heat pump device; and a blowing means 10 for supplying heated air into the inner tub 4. The heat absorber 30 and the radiator 31 are disposed between the outer tub 3 and the rear surface 32 of the casing 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
