<p>The valve has a pivotable closure plate (4) with an upper part mounted on hinges, which can be pressed against a peripheral PVC seal (2) to the rear of the plate when the valve is closed. A float located in a float bay (3) attached to the valve is connected to a lever mechanism so that the plate is closed as the float rises. As the float arm (8) is lowered, a motor-driven spindle (5) activated by electrical contacts (7) is used to lock the plate into position. As the level of liquid falls, the plate is automatically raised again.</p> |
