<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make use of the ocean effectively to generate electricity using a tidal current or an ocean current. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided with a plurality of floating units 21 and a plurality of water turbines 3. The plurality of the floating units 21 float on the ocean water, and form an artificial substrate which are mutually jointed and adjacent to each other. The plurality of the water turbines 3 are installed in the plurality of the floating units 21, respectively. The plurality of the water turbines 3 convert a water stream 7 of the ocean water into electric power. Each position of the plurality of the floating units 21 is changed based on the geography where an ocean current power-generating device 1 is arranged. When generating electricity or moving, the ocean current power-generating device 1 can be changed into different shapes, respectively. When being arranged on the open sea and generating electricity or being arranged in a strait and generating electricity, the ocean current power-generating device 1 can be deformed into different shapes, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
