<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition with improved strength and fluidity as well as excellent transparency and moisture permeability, and to provide an optical film obtained by using the resin composition. <P>SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises a norbornene-based resin and a cycloolefin-based resin having a structure expressed by formula (1) (where R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently a functional group and either one of them has polarity; and Y represents CH<SB>2</SB>, O or S).
