FRIT FOR SEALING OF METAL VACUUM VESSEL HAVING DUAL STRUCTURE, AND METAL VACUUM VESSEL HAVING DUAL STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sealing glass for vacuum sealing of a metal vacuum vessel having a dual structure, which has a sealing temperature of 400-500°C and is free from PbO. SOLUTION: The metal vacuum vessel having the dual structure has a metal inner vessel and an outer vessel as constitutive members. When the gap section between these inner and outer vessels is evacuated, a frit is used for vacuum sealing an exhaust port formed in either of the inner vessel and the outer vessel. The frit contains 80-100 vol.% glass comprising, by molar percentage, 20-68% SnO, 2-8% SnO2and 20-40% P2O5, and 0-20 vol.% refractory filler powder. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
