A therapy device (TD) (1) belongs to a lithotripter, on which a device (2) fits for locating and/or monitoring stones (3) like kidney stones in the body (4) of a patient on an examining table (5). The TD has a coupling unit (7) so designed that shock waves generated by the TD are concentrated on a focal point (38) for treating the stones. An Independent claim is also included for a lithotripter to treat stones like kidney stones in a patient's body and/or pains.
