A compound inhibiting the activity of a protein having an amino acid sequence which is the same or substantially the same as an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1, SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:7, SEQ ID NO:10, SEQ ID NO:15, SEQ ID NO:17, SEQ ID NO:20, SEQ ID NO:22, SEQ ID NO:25 or SEQ ID NO:27, or its salt; a compound inhibiting the expression of a gene of the above protein; an antisense polynucleotide having a base sequence, which is complementary or substantially complementary to the base sequence of a DNA encoding the above protein or its peptide fragment, or a part thereof; an antibody against the above protein or its peptide fragment, etc. are useful as preventives/remedies for cancer, apoptosis promoters for cancer cells and so on.
