<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always provide a printing result conforming to an intention of a user when printing an image generated by the user by using an application program. <P>SOLUTION: A printer driver 8 receiving a draw command of an image split by the application program 6 from an operating system 7, carrying a drawing process for print data generation, and capable of correcting a drawing position of the image with respect to the drawing process, and the operating system 7 displaying a preview in an image plane of a display device 4 of a drawing result when the drawing process is carried out by correcting the drawing position or when the drawing process is carried out without correcting the drawing position by the printer driver 8, asking the user for confirmation of whether or not it is necessary to correct the drawing position in generation of print data, and determining whether or not to correct the drawing position by the printer driver 8 in response to a confirmation result are provided as image processing functions of a host computer 1 composing a host based printing system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
