<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute optimal image reproduction at a copy operation by an arbitrary image reader and an arbitrary printer connected to a network, and to solve the problem that when the number of density gradations is not made coincident between the image reader and the printer, larger amounts of data than necessary are transmitted, or the reproduction of any expected density gradation is impossible, and that when resolution is different between the image reader and the printer, a print image is not turned to be of any expected image size. <P>SOLUTION: This network printing system is configured to adapt processing to an image read by an image reader for transmitting it to a printer according to the information of the resolution and gradation of an image reader, whether the printer is a multi-value printer or a binary printer, whether or not the printer is a color printer or a monochrome printer, and whether the printer is a laser electronic photographic system or an LED electronic photographic system or an ink jet system or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
