<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incorporate a high glossiness equal to a silver salt photograph, high image quality, high ink absorbability and high water resistance, and to largely enhance a long-term preservability of the image. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet for ink jet recording includes an ink receiving layer containing inorganic fine particles, a cationic polymer and a binder on a support. The fine particles have a mean particle size of primary particles of 30 nm or less and a specific surface area by Brunauer, Emmett and Teller of 200 m<SP>2</SP>/g or more. The cationic polymer is primary, secondary or tertiary amine cationic polymer, and further the receiving layer contains an oxo acid salt of a phosphorus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
