PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use current position information to increase the serviceability of a personal digital assistant used to manage schedules and address file data.

SOLUTION: When a message to be reported arises, current position information is acquired by a position acquisition device 118 and site information corresponding to the current position information is acquired by referring to map data stored in a storage device 111. A method of reporting the site information is determined from a report method selection table and either a voice output device 114, an output screen display device 115 or a vibrator 116 is selected to provide a report.
