<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing device for a plasma display which allows a worker to understand at a glance that the plasma display is a glass commodity and to call his attention to the work in a distribution process of the plasma display using a glass substrate weak against shocks. <P>SOLUTION: A packing device comprises a plate-like plasma display 21 housing a display unit comprising a panel and a circuit block disposed on a back side of the panel to perform the display by applying signals to the panel in a casing, and a packing box to hold the plasma display 21 in an upright condition. The packing member comprises a shock absorbing pad 22 formed of a shock absorbing material 24, having a recessed part 24a with upper and lower ends of the plasma display 21 fitted therein and disposed so as to hold the plasma display 21 in a vertical direction, and a band 25 to tighten the shock absorbing pad 22 in a holding direction of the plasma display 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
