PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of accurately presuming a motor rotation speed regardless of current dependency of motor resistance value of and always realizing a just enough exact damper control. SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device 10, the motor rotation speed Nm is calculated by a voltage Vm between motor terminals, a motor current Im and a resistance value Rm between motor terminals and the damper control is carried out corresponding to the motor rotation speed Nm. The device is provided with a motor rotation speed calculation means 29 for calculating the motor rotation speed Nm using the resistance values Rm between the motor terminals corresponding to the various motor currents Im based on the data of the resistance values Rm between the motor terminals against various motor currents Im previously memorized in a memory device 24.
