PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method by a wire sewing and its device capable of narrowing an installation space at a sideways by longitudinally facing a cable driving device and getting rid of the risk of falling down of the cable driving device even if the transmission of power in an electromagnetic clutch is canceled by carelessly stopping power in the case of the completion of cutting or the like or making a power failure. SOLUTION: A pinion 24 of the cable driving device is engaged with a rack 15 of a strut to be vertically provided, the cable driving device is lifted and lowered by rotationally driving the pinion 24, the electromagnetic clutch 29 is provided between a driving shaft 26 rotationally driving the pinion 24 and a feed motor 27, and when a load is increased by biting a cutting cable, the electromagnetic clutch 29 is slipped off, and the transmission of power is canceled. An electromagnetic brake 31 is provided to the driving shaft 26, and when power is disconnected by the completion of cutting or the like or a service interruption, the transmission of power is canceled by the electromagnetic clutch 29, at the same time, the electromagnetic brake 31 operates, and the driving shaft 26 is kept in a locking state to fix the cable driving device to prevent the risk of falling down of the cable driving device.
