PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning device for boiler water tubes which accurately inspects the overall use state of the boiler water tubes by freely running through small clearances between the boiler water tubes arranged in a boiler. SOLUTION: This scanning device for the boiler water tubes presses rollers 6a to 6d against the outside walls of four boiler water tubes 13a, 13b, 14a, and 14b disposed in the boiler 10 adjacent to each other in the lateral and vertical directions, and runs horizontally through the clearances between the boiler water tubes while holding the attitude thereof by a frictional force between the boiler water tubes and the rollers.
