PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent pest control agent and a pest control method. SOLUTION: The subject pest control agent composition contains a component 1 which is 4-chloro-3-ethyl-1-methyl-N-[4-(p-tolyloxy)benzyl]pyrazole-5-carboxamide and a component 2 which is methyl (E)-2-[2-ä2-isopropoxy-6-(trifluoromethyl)pyrimidinyl-4-yloxymethyl}phenyl]-3-methoxyacrylate and/or 3-dodecyl-1,4-dihydro-1,4-dioxo-2-naphthylacetate.
