PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic water preparation apparatus capable of suppressing the amount of use of an additive and forming electrolytic water containing hypochlorous acid of a high concentration by supplying a proper amount of chloride ions into an electrolytic cell by an ion concentration difference between an additive solution and tap water in the electrolytic cell. SOLUTION: The electrolytic water preparation apparatus has an electrolytic cell 11 into which the tap water is introduced and electrodes 12 and 13 having polarities different from each other and disposed within the electrolytic cell 11, and can prepare the electrolytic water by electrolyzing the tap water in the electrolytic cell 11. The apparatus is provided with an additive dissolving vessel 20 into which the additive is fed and in which a saturated or supersaturated additive solution is stored. The vessel 20 communicates with the tap water in the electrolytic cell 11 through an anion exchange membrane 21 passing anions. As a result, the amount of use of the additive is suppressed and the electrolytic water containing the hypochlorous acid of high concentration can be formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
