A simple compact wall mounted wardrobe has a flat panel fitted to the wall with a single fastener (4) and is provided with a number of pairs of vertical slits to form tongues which are bent out of the panel by inserting rods (2) between the tongues and the panel. The tongues are provided at the top edge of the panel and at various heights on the panel. The panel is tensioned by the splaying action of the tongues and is further secured by tightening the single fastener.
