<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter that enables JTGA tests, even for a printed circuit where a JTAG-compliant device and a JTAG-compliant device exist mixedly. <P>SOLUTION: The converter 60 includes an electrode pad 64 for mounting an ITAG standard-noncompliant IC on a support 62. An external terminal 66 for mounting the converter 60 on the printed circuit board is placed on the outer edge of the support 62, and a macrocell 68 is placed between the external terminal 66 and the electrode pad 64. The macrocell 68 operates so as to connect the external terminal 66 and the electrode pad 64 at a normal mode, and operates to disconnect them at a test mode and form a series of shift registers by connecting the macro cell at a rear step. A TAP controller 70 placed on the support 62 controls, based on a JTAG standard-compliant control signal input to control terminals 72-80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
