<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auction method whereby a buyer can get an article at a price lower than the price he or she thinks appropriate and a vendor can expand a sales outlet while gaining profit. <P>SOLUTION: The auction method comprises a step 172 which prepares buyers' bid information aligned by buyers' bid prices; a step 176 which prepares vendors' bid information aligned by vendors' bid prices, including the vendors' bid prices and the information to specify minimum and maximum sales quantities of the article; and a step 180 which matches the buyers' bid information and the vendors' bid information by use of a computer so that the vendor's bid price is below the buyer's bid price, and determines a combination of the winning buyer and the winning vendor and a closing bid price for each combination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
