PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To edit various display images using satellite photographic data by performing easy-to-see display in response to a difference in an environment by using one image data. SOLUTION: The map display system comprises a storing means 1 for storing raster type map data, an environment change detecting means 9 for detecting environment change, control means 4 and 6 for modifying color tone of the raster type map data in accordance with the environment change detected with the environment change detecting means, and a display means 7 for displaying the map data modified with the control means.
