摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a macromolecular optical waveguide which is simple and low-cost, and improved in productivity. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the macromolecular optical waveguide includes the processes of: (1) manufacturing a mold from an original plate where a projection part for the optical waveguide is formed; (2) bringing a film base material for a clad which has excellent contactness with the mold into contact with the mold; (3) making an ultraviolet-ray setting resin or thermosetting resin enter a recessed part of the mold by capillarity by rotating the mold which is brought into contact with the film base material for the clad and has its one end in contact with the ultraviolet-ray setting resin or thermosetting resin forming a core so that a centrifugal force is applied in the entering direction of the ultraviolet-ray setting resin or thermosetting resin; (4) hardening the entering ultraviolet-ray setting resin or thermosetting resin and releasing the mold from the film base material for the clad; and (5) forming a clad layer on the film base material for the clad where the core is formed.
