PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arbitrarily perform color wiping of superimposed characters or display position changes of superimposed characters. SOLUTION: A color look-up table for setting a color of a superimposed character pattern is provided, display position information indicating a display position of the superimposed character pattern represented with horizontal or vertical offset pixel positions from a reference position is provided, and color wipe information indicating a position where the color of the superimposed character pattern is changed is provided, thereby multiplexing and then outputting the display position information, the color wipe information and the superimposed character pattern.
