PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce entire length and width of a machine, to facilitate running movement or parking in a narrow site, and to prevent reduction of working efficiency. SOLUTION: This slag removing work machine 1 has an upper turning body 3 turnably on a lower running body 2, and an attachment for slag removal for scraping out the slag floating on a molten metal surface. The attachment has a telescopic arm 7 telescopically disposed above a cabin 4 of the upper turning body 3 while its partial section overlaps on the upper turning body 3 in the plan view.
