PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of such unsafety as to splash a user's fingers with hot water by the discharge force of the hot water in the case of needing a relatively small quantity of hot water for a cup, a mug, or the like. SOLUTION: This electric kettle is provided with two switches of different operating load, and two pressing pins with equal opposed distance from the surfaces of the switches are provided at the back face of a hot water discharge operating button in the opposed positions to allow two-stage operation of small quantity and large quantity of hot water discharge if necessary by the large and small difference of operating force to one hot water discharge operating button.
