METHOD FOR MEASURING, DETERMINING AND ADJUSTING SUPPORT PRESSURE, AND APPARATUS FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for measuring, determining and adjusting support pressure sequentially during a sterilization of a medical syringe, or the like, having a movable stop and seal mechanism (3) comprising a plug within a container (4), the method and the apparatus being capable of adjusting the support pressure supporting the stop and seal mechanism (3) from the outside precisely and preventing the deviation of the plug completely or at least substantially.

SOLUTION: The internal pressure of the container (4) sealed by the stop and seal mechanism (3) is detected during the sterilization using a pressure sensor (6) arranged to contact with the inside of the container (4) or using a sensor (5) that detects the movement of the stop and seal mechanism (3) resulted from a pressure difference between the inside and the outside of the container (4). The apparatus generates a control variable regarding the support pressure applied on the container (4) from the outside on the basis of such measured signals to make the internal pressure and the support pressure equal or at least nearly equal.
