PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone with electronic camera which can embed copyright data in picture data without making a user previously perform inputting and keeping operations on copyright data. SOLUTION: A picture signal of an object photographed with an image pickup part 10-1 is signal-processed and is stored as picture data in a signal processing/picture data storage part 10-2. Authentication information for authenticating the mobile phone as to whether the mobile phone is properly contracted is stored in an authentication information storage part 10-5. An electronic watermark data insertion part 10-3 reads contracting person authentication information from the authentication information storage part 10-5 and embeds electronic watermark data (authentication information) in picture data. Electronic watermark insertion picture data are transmitted from a transmission/reception part 10-4 to a network. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
