PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head device capable of enhancing the impact resistance of the sliding surface of a slider in a simple constitution without providing impact absorbing material separately. SOLUTION: This magnetic head device 10 has a slider 6a which has a sliding surface 6c which is brought into contact with a floppy disk, a metal plate 2 which supports the slider 6a, and a spacer 8 which is arranged between the plate 2 and the slider 6a and has a recess-shaped part 8a at least at one part of a contact part with the plate 2.
