PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection toy which obtains a satisfactory wide angle image. SOLUTION: The projection toy is formed so that light from a light source is radiated to an image film carrying an image and light passing through the image film is projected by a projection lens. The projection toy is provided with an ellipsoidal mirror with tilted axis which uniformly radiates light on the image film so as not to blackout due to the shadow of the light source. The projection lens consists of two pieces of convex meniscus lenses arranged backward and one piece of concave lens arranged forward. The two pieces of convex meniscus lenses are arranged so that the respective concave surfaces are facing each other. Moreover, a prism concentrating light from the ellipsoidal mirror with tilted axis to the back pupil of the projection lens is arranged between the ellipsoidal mirror with tilted axis and the image film.
