PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a porous sheet for skin care having uniform cells and excellent, in particular, in the touch and water retention, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The porous sheet for skin care comprises agar as the main component and is formed by molding an agar solution, obtained by dissolving agar in hot water, into a desired sheet shape as it is or with bubbles incorporated therein, before agar solidifies, allowing agar to solidify and removing water by freeze drying. The porous sheet for skin care preferably contains a plasticizer and/or a surfactant, a fibrous material and chitosan. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
