PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize satisfactory paper feeding by preventing skew of a paper sheet from a paper feeding device provided in a facsimile machine, copying machine or the like. SOLUTION: Rotating shafts of paper feeding rollers 31, 31 are constituted of two shafts 29a, 29b. One shaft 29b of them is inserted into a joint portion 29c of the other shaft 29a to be telescopic in the longitudinal direction. The paper feeding roller 31 having a core member 31a is secured onto at least one shaft, and the core member 31a is engaged with one side guide 27. Interlocking with the movement of the side guide 27, one shaft 29b is extended and contracted relative to the other shaft 29a through the core member 31a to displace the arrangement positions of the paper feeding rollers 31, 31.
