PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator for use as a drive source of a feeder or the like, capable of conveying objects with high precision during high attitude controlling without making the conveying objects jump and conveying the conveying objects in a reverse direction (back) with an easy operation, and to provide a feeder equipped with the piezoelectric actuator and a precipitation preventing device. SOLUTION: The feeder is equipped with the piezoelectric actuator 1 and a trough 2. The piezoelectric actuator 1 is equipped with a piezoelectric element 3 for converting a voltage signal to a mechanical displacement (flexural vibration), a drive part 4 for impressing the voltage signal to the piezoelectric element 3, and an operating part 5 vibrating in the left and right directions by the mechanical displacement of the piezoelectric element 3. The piezoelectric actuator 1 is characterized in that the speed and the acceleration speed of the vibration of the back and forth movements of the operating part 5 is asymmetrical.
