PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pacifier for babies and little children for making the babies and little children suck it willingly, accelerating nasal respiration and easily preventing the tooth decay of the babies and the little children. SOLUTION: In the pacifier for the babies and the little children, components which can be taken into the body or into the mouth are contained in a nipple part in the state of being included in other components. It is preferable that the components which can be taken into the body or into the mouth are contained in the nipple part in the state of being included in a microcapsule, in the state of the components impregnated into a porous body or in the state of being coated with a coating component. Also, it is preferable that the components are contained in the nipple part in a form to be taken in by a pressure, heat or saliva in sucking or with time. As the components which can be taken into the body or into the mouth, a taste component, a smell component, a nutrition supplementary component, dietary fibers, a tooth decay advance preventing component, a tooth whitening component, a tooth calcification accelerating component, a gum toughening component and medicine, etc., can be listed and especially xylitol is suitable.
