A cord (1) preferably made from cotton, or alternatively from mixed yarns, leather or synthetic yarns, has soft leather parts (2) for protecting the upper side of the penis (4) threaded onto it. Sliding plastic parts (3) are in contact with the erectile tissue. The ends of the cord are fixed in a first cord locking device (5) in a first part of the aid, forming a space for locating the penis. Releasing the first locking device and applying pressure to the middle of the device whilst pushing causes the sliding parts to apply a pressure to the erectile tissue on the lower side of the penis and trigger an erection. When an erection is no longer desired, the pressure is released and the ends of the cords are passed through a second cord locking device (5.1) secured against the upper rear side of the scrotum. Caps (6) on the ends of the cords prevent the latter from coming loose from the aid.
